April 9, 2008 Archaeologist Position - immediate opening. Environmental Restoration Co. (ERC) is seeking to fill the field archaeologist position at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Desired qualifications: MA in Archaeology or related field with at least three years experience in archaeology. Must be able to lift 60 lbs and be physically fit to hike through hilly forested terrain. Candidate must have good writing and verbal communication skills and be able to work independent without supervision. Pay range: $39,000 to $45,000 a year. This is a permanent full-time position of 40 hours a week (Monday through Friday) with paid federal holidays and vacation.
